Ideko Interieurbouw and Optisport commissioned us to design, produce, and install visuals for the De Watergeus swimming pool in Zoetermeer.
Collaboration with Ideko Interieurbouw often results in stunning final outcomes. It is precisely the combination of signage and interior construction that makes it possible to create something truly special.
Ideko is an interior construction company through and through. They create custom interiors for businesses, shops, hospitality, schools, private clients, and more. Together, they develop your unique interior, optionally in consultation with an interior architect. They are happy to discuss the latest trends in interior construction. From new materials to innovative applications, they can advise you freely and expertly. Whether you choose a modern or classic style, with Ideko you are always guaranteed craftsmanship and a one-of-a-kind custom interior.
For this project, Boer & Van Wijk supported Ideko by translating their concept into a design for the tile pattern. After client approval, the design was customized for the various counters. Thanks to close collaboration between Ideko, our studio staff, and Boer & Van Wijk’s vinyl installer, we were able to align the design precisely with the counters, skirting boards, and corners.

At the Boer & Van Wijk studio, we carefully and thoughtfully transformed the client’s idea into a unique and captivating tile pattern. The client requested a fish-scale design, which we developed in a way that allows the pattern to be easily repeated. Three distinct tile patterns were created: the top pattern features lighter tiles, while the bottom pattern features darker tiles, resulting in a smooth gradient from light to dark.
The effect is striking! On the corners of the counters, we ensured that the pattern aligns perfectly, enhancing the visual impact even further. The final pattern was then printed on our Epson printers, whose wide color gamut brings the colors vividly to life.

After printing, the visuals were precisely cut to size using our Zünd cutting machine.
Boer & Van Wijk also handled the on-site installation. The final result is impressive!
Once again, a great collaboration with our client Ideko. We look forward to our next project together.
Our client, Ideko Interieurbouw, requested that the tile pattern be applied so that the corner of the tiles aligns perfectly with the corner of the counter. Naturally, this was achievable. Thanks to excellent communication between our studio staff and the vinyl installer, we were able to execute this with precision.
The visual consists of two parts that seamlessly blend together. Special attention was given to details, such as applying the overlapping section of the visual 2 mm away from the corner to prevent the vinyl from curling. All visuals were, of course, labeled with relevant information and accompanied by a clear briefing and drawing for our installer.
Of course, you want to know what we produce on a daily basis: how we do it, and with which machines and materials. In these blogs, we showcase this daily, highly varied work, as well as the choices we make and the advice we provide along the way.
