We also expect this vision from our suppliers. Looking ahead, we aim to focus even more on people and the environment.

Ambachtsezoom is a circular business park. The municipality is developing the area based on ‘Cradle to Cradle’ principles. All materials used for buildings, streets, and surroundings are 100% recyclable. This means the materials are high-quality, durable, and can be reused repeatedly.

This approach contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions. Each company has at least 35 solar panels on its roof. A striking feature is the amount of greenery: every building has green facades, and the entire site is planted with plenty of trees. Delivery of the park began in April 2022.

Speed, razor-sharp precision, wide color gamut, and affordability. These are the core principles Boer & Van Wijk stands for. It is now possible to reproduce 98.2% of PANTONE solid coated colors at high image quality. This is crucial for ensuring brand colors are consistent worldwide, as well as for printing photographs where the photographer requires a faithful match to the original image.

Quality ink is not the only focus at Boer & Van Wijk. We are constantly researching more environmentally friendly solutions. Using eco-friendly inks, such as screen printing inks free of cadmium, lead, and mercury, has become standard practice. Environmentally friendly ink cartridges for our digital printers are returned to the supplier for reuse, helping to reduce our environmental footprint.

The ink and curing system determines the level of emissions. When selecting inks, it is advisable to avoid solvent-based systems. This eliminates the need for ventilation systems, which bring additional investment and operational costs. Emissions can be kept within defined limits by using low-polluting or certified inks, such as Greenguard.

In return, this opens up a wide range of applications, as printed products can also be used in sensitive environments. Systems with UV LED lamps offer more advantages for UV printing than mercury vapor lamps, which must be disposed of as hazardous waste due to their composition. UV LED lamps also have a longer lifespan, resulting in lower operational costs compared to mercury lamps.

Beelite is a strong honeycomb cardboard sheet (FSC approved) with a print-ready white paper surface on both sides. Beelite 3D Display Board is robust yet extremely lightweight, making it highly versatile. It can even be used for large, self-supporting promotional structures. For display applications, Beelite 3D is a practical and efficient choice. Thanks to its low weight, transport costs remain minimal.
