Squid self-adhesive voile, the modern in-between window decoration, now available at boer&vanwijk.

Squid window films use a self-adhesive Airfree technology, which allows the material to be applied without air bubbles. Using a squeegee, you can apply Squid onto a clean, grease-free surface. Many Boer & Van Wijk customers choose our specially trained and certified installation technicians—this ensures a professional and flawless result.
Squid has a semi-permanent adhesive that becomes stronger over time. Therefore, especially shortly after installation, avoid pulling or lifting the textile from the window.

With Squid, window washing becomes unnecessary—the glass behind the material no longer gets dirty. Squid itself does not need to be removed. You can easily dust the textile using a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment.
Light stains can be removed with a damp microfiber cloth and lukewarm water.
More persistent stains—such as chocolate, pencil marks, honey, mayonnaise—may be treated using a textile stain remover. Use a solvent-free product, such as TMC 520 or James Wonder, and always follow the instructions carefully.

If the window is fully covered with Squid, cleaning the glass is no longer required. If only part of the window is covered, make sure dirty water does not run into the Squid material.
Avoid cleaning the uncovered part of the window with a sponge. Instead, spray glass cleaner onto a microfiber cloth and clean the glass that way.
If Squid does get wet, allow the moisture to evaporate naturally and avoid touching the textile until it is dry.

At the end of Squid’s lifespan, the fabric can be removed in one piece, easily and cleanly. Lift a corner and gently pull the textile away from the window. Depending on how long Squid has been installed, some adhesive residue may remain.

Since the adhesive is water-based, it can be easily removed using water and soap. For larger amounts of residue, a glass scraper can be used to speed up the cleaning process.
