Primer:
Autotex has an adhesion primer on the second surface. There are two primer options, one for solvent inks and one for UV inks. These primers provide excellent adhesion for a wide range of inks. Note that some electrical and mechanical properties of the films in the 7-series differ from the standard product.
Varnish:
Autotex® can be screen-printed with Windotex™ varnish to create a clear window (see Windotex™ datasheet). Autotex® Fine, due to its lighter texture, will produce clearer windows than Autotex® Velvet.
Outdoor Use:
Autotex® has limited long-term UV resistance and is therefore not recommended for prolonged outdoor use. To address this, MacDermid Autotype has developed Autotex® XE, a UV-resistant version of Autotex®.
