The digitally printed wallpaper, specially designed for the Huis van Gijn in Dordrecht, was installed by our installation team.
This project presented a significant challenge, as one of the walls measures over 10 meters high and is hidden behind a staircase.
In total, approximately 110 m² of printed wallpaper was installed. The design, created by Susan Strampel, Graphic Design, features a repeating pattern of various items displayed in Museum Huis van Gijn.
After creating color proofs and fine-tuning the overall design, we decided to use a fine linen wallpaper for this project, printed on our Nyala flatbed printer.
This choice provides a warm and inviting appearance thanks to the texture of the wallpaper, while also delivering a scratch-resistant finish due to the UV-cured ink.
After printing, the wallpaper was precisely cut to size using our Zünd cutting machine.
Boer & Van Wijk, of course, handles transport from our workshop to the site using our own vehicles.
The wallpaper panels were then expertly installed on-site by our highly experienced installation team.
Combined with the colors of the furniture and the interior, designed by Ramon Middelkoop Design, we believe it has come together into a very beautiful overall result.
Museum Huis van Gijn is located on the Nieuwe Haven in Dordrecht and is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday. Visit this unique museum in the historic city of Dordrecht and see the digitally printed wallpaper installed by us.
